Palissade Bench

The Palissade Bench from HAY can be used as a standalone garden bench or in conjunction with the Palissade Dining Table to create al-fresco seating for up to two people. To add to the comfort, it has the collection's signature smooth contours.

Palissade was developed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for HAY after a period of research into outdoor furniture typologies at their workshop. The collection has a light appearance but is reassuringly solid. HAY has created an instant classic by combining archetypal furniture references and shape simplicity.

Each piece has been meticulously designed to keep the body in perfect balance. In each typology, the angles, curves, and juxtaposition between the frame and the slats shift almost imperceptibly yet significantly. The style itself is comfortable and elegant, and the light grey, anthracite, and olive colour palette makes the pieces suitable for both natural and urban environments. In 2019, a 'hot galvanised' finish was introduced for an industrial aesthetic and the best weather resistance.

Palissade is designed to be used over a long period of time and to improve in beauty over time. The selection is appropriate for a wide range of settings, including cafés, restaurants, gardens, terraces, and balconies.
