J46 Chair - Klub Outlet
Poul M.Volther designed the famous J46 chair for FDB Mbler in 1956. The designer, who is also known for the J110 chair (Hay), took a fresh approach to design. The chair's appearance in the 1940s represented a departure from the era's design tradition, which favoured robust and hardy design. The chair's V-shaped backrest and apparent lightness made it instantly identifiable.
As a result, the J46 quickly found a home in several Danish households. The chair was made available in a wide variety of bright colours in the 1970s. It can also be improved with a seat cushion to provide even more comfort.
